About Me
I've taught barre fitness since 2014 and was a lead instructor for two boutique barre fitness studios before starting BarrePop! in the Spring of 2021 (a gift from God🙏🏾). I believe in teaching with Encouragement, Kindness & a Lil Push :) While I've been in the fitness industry for awhile (I taught traditional group fitness classes prior to barre for about 5 years) I've learned the importance of language and how it can affect people. You won't find any shaming body talk here, no insults. Instead, the focus is on strength & encouragement. You'll hear plenty of "Y'all are doing so good!", "One inch lower", "You are fearfully & wonderfully made" and "You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you."
About the Technique
BarrePop! is my own low impact technique that combines traditional barre moves (think pulses & plank holds) with larger range & more dynamic exercises (lunges & squats) to help build strength & break a lil sweat!
Who Can BarrePop!?
If you are 18+ and can move your body YOU can BarrePop! The community has included people in their early 20s-mid 60s. It doesn't matter if you've taken all the barre classes or this is your first time, you are welcome!
